Four steps from an idea
to a room playing it.
Here is each screen, roughly as it looks in the product, from the first question to the card people share.
Make the quiz
How the three routes differ
A template opens from Templates and plays straight away. Every template deals a fresh mix of questions each time, so the same one does not feel used up by the second round.
Building it yourself gives you the timer, the points, and a poll when you want the room's opinion. Any answer can be a picture, with or without words, so children who are still learning to read can tap what they see.

Open the room
Tap Host live, choose how the round should run, then Create live game. The lobby shows a five-character code to share, and people start arriving.
Names, and people who drop out
Players pick a nickname, or tap the dice for an African city. There are over two hundred of them, so nobody has to think of something clever while six people wait.
People join while the lobby is open. Once the first question is up the room is set, so a latecomer waits for the host to start another round. Somebody who loses connection mid-game rejoins with the same code and nickname and carries on from the next question.

The question goes on the shared screen. Everybody answers on their own device, and every correct answer scores.
How the scoring works
In a standard game a right answer is worth 500 points, plus up to 500 more points for being quick. With accuracy first, the default for Inclusive Live and school classes, every right answer is worth 1000 whatever the time. From the second right answer in a row, a streak adds 100 for each answer in the run after the first, up to 500.
Every answer has its own letter and colour, the same on the shared screen and in everybody's hand, so a player can answer without reading the whole thing twice.
A wrong answer costs the points and nothing else. Everybody sees the next question, so the person who missed three in a row is still in the game.
Then the board lands
After every question, and again at the end. Streaks and jumps are called out by name, so the person in fifth still has something to shout about.
The finish
Third, second, first, with the drums. Then the awards, and a card everybody can share.
The podium, the awards, the cards and the draw
After the podium come the awards: fastest finger, longest streak, sharpest aim and the clutch finish, so the person who came ninth is still watching the screen at the end. When you want a prize draw, open Prize draws afterwards and pull in the players from your last game: wheel, reel, cards or a drum roll, whichever suits the room.
Rather finish without a ranking? Choose Celebrate together in host setup. The room works towards one shared score, nobody sees a position, and the finish shows the room score with everyone's name. It is chosen for you when Inclusive Live is on. To go again, Play again, new order runs the same questions in a new order, and everyone stays in the room with the same code.
Afterwards everybody gets a card, winners and all. It is built from what that person actually did, so it carries a podium finish, an award, or a score. Sharing sends the picture, the line and the link together, because a picture on its own gives people something to look at and no way in.
Every card is a choice. Somebody who won nothing can still send their score if they want the argument, and can close the screen if they would rather not.
The same four steps, in very different rooms
Nothing above changes with the occasion. What changes is who is in the room and what they are shouting about.
Your room is one tap away
Set a game up in about a minute, or walk into someone else's with a code. The good part is always the same: a room shouting at a screen.
